God warns us of such things, he doesn't say to condemn them but not to follow them or their ideas.

The term pagan comes from the early Holy Roman empire. When Chritianity was finally embraced by the romans thoughout all of their territory it was decreed not to put fourth any idols before God. When they would encounter people of different faiths worshiping and practicing indiginous religions they were called pagans. The context of the term today would be the same as calling someone a redneck hillbilly, or backwoods trailor trash. So when people call themselves pagan today its really announcing that you are an uneducated hick. Also you might think its cool doing playing this stuff but you are really playing with your eternal soul. I can keep an open mind on looking at your religion objectively but I can't help how every wiccan is so defensive and insecure in their beliefs I honestly believe its a guilt thing as we are all inherently given the ability to feel things as right or wrong, turning your back on the true God the creator of all goodness and creation. And the oldest religion I know of is Zorasterism. There is a saying that is always being misquoted instaed of "you are what you eat" it really is "man is what he believes".This is a "free society" but when I look at a person who thinks they are a witch i see a person whose ego is frozen in adolecense attached to an outdated unfufilling empty tradition that cannot apply to todays level of understanding and enlightenment, except to serve as an immature gesture of being contrary to modern attitudes. Please dont take this personally, I want you to see that instead of trying to set the standard of being different, you can go totally go the other extreme and be a leader among others and set the example for others to follow.I promise you will find yourself completely immersed with a sense of satisfaction, and at the same time you will experience a continual growth of spirit and wide range of emotions you could never hope to achieve with such a constircting religion as wiccan. I could go on for hours in depth on this subject but I am at work so I hope this helps you.

There was an interesting episode of "Wife Swap" on tv last night. One of the families was Wiccan and the wife was a high priestess. As a result of the wife swap, the husband in the Wiccan family came to realize that family was more important than the coven and he willingly broke the "sacred" plate and proclaimed that he wanted to live a more normal life and put his family first. When his wife got home, she was willing to go along with the change and together they made their children/family the priority.

Christianity evolved from paganism. check out the Trinity and you'll see how 2 religions are same in a lot of ways. the only things that seems be different is that pagans, wiccans have a lot of different gods while christains have only 1 ( but the one has 3 different personalities thus Jesus the son, the god, and the phrophet)

I was raise Catholic, consider myself Christian, but also realize that I don't need to be in a Religion since I have a personal connection with God- Jesus:)
I do feel I change in some way daily, for the purpose of God, and that race, color, or religion does not turn my skin different colors. I am who I am, and you are who you are, we all change when we learn more.
I may not agree with you, but I will not put you down, you may feel strong about who you are and what you believe. And it may be as strong as I feel about my God, but there is only one true God that created all we have on this planet.
It's not my place to say to someone that they are going to hell, no matter what they did, especially knowing God loves us all the same, God knowing we all have the ability to change.
Peace..... inteleyes

What I don't understand about Wicca is if you all have a set of 'rules' and or 'values' that you follow. I guess is there consistency between you that gives you structure... or is it what ever feels right and is in align with the good/positive forces of the world/energy/nature. And if it's the latter, then is their consideration for variances and if so, how is it decided? For example.. is their spell etiquette?
I guess I try to compare to my Christian structure that I have in the Bible from God/Jesus on how to live, treat self, others, etc.
I know and understand that Wicca does not believe in any of the Christian beliefs including God, Holy Spirit, Jesus, Satan... curious... do you believe in angels or angelic or no?

I wonder if you think that all Christians start out as Christians? Do you think that every Christian was born into a believing family? I was not. Actually I dabbled in Wicca for a number of years. I knew it was never right because I had to hide it from my family and friends, not to mention that I was scared most of the time... I found Jesus and I KNOW he is real. He lives in me.
As for your question.. statement.. whatever.. Anyone who is not for God, for Jesus. Is for Satan. The reason you think that there is no evil in what you do is because Satan is the great deciever. You can believe in him or not but you are still for him if you are not for God. You don't have to believe me. It doesn't hurt me any. But the truth will be revealed and we will all see when the Judgement day arrives.

You can't offend Christianity. For where offense abounds grace does much more abound. You end up pouring burning coals upon your head. The reason you do not believe in Satan is because you are blinded by Satan. Satan believes in you and he also believes that Jesus is the Son of God and trembles for he knows his time is short. You have one problem, how are you going to pay for your sins? We have all sinned and fall short of the glory of God. To sin means to have transgressed the law. This is transgression of the law: lying, stealing, not honoring God with your heart, mind, soul and strength, bowing down to graven images, lusting, adultery, murder, hatred, cursing the name of Jesus, breaking the Sabbath, not honoring mother and father, coveting. We've all broken these commands which are on our consciences. We need forgiveness. Only Jesus offers forgiveness because He paid the price of God's wrath on himself through torture and excruciating pain on the cross at Calvary.

One, yours is not the oldest religion around. Two, you generalize when you say that Christians think you worship Satan. I am a Christian and I say no such thing. Christians, those who believe the Bible, are not to accept witchcraft or witches. It is the Bible that says those who practice witchcraft or bow to witchcraft are of Satan. You will notice it says of Satan. In the Bible, it does not matter that you may not believe in Satan... the Bible says you are OF Satan. It's not personal exactly. I don't know you and even if I did, I would not be allowed to judge you as you may be saved at any moment of any day... I just cannot accept your practices as they are OF Satan according to the Bible I believe in.

As far as I am concerned, there is only one God. I honestly feel that if you are worshipping other "gods" then they are nothing more than demons deceiving you, so that you will not follow the one true God. Yes, Wicca has been around for a long time, however, worshipping the one true God goes all the way back to the Garden of Eden. Christianity evolved when Christ was on the earth, we are called Christians because we follow the teachings of Christ. Wicca evolved from the pagan religions, which sacrificed children to their gods(Wicca used to sacrifice children to the Moon goddess when she was full). The blood is considered sacred and was drunk under the full moon. And in God's word, it says "thou shalt not suffer a witch to live". However, the world is much more laid back and rules get pushed aside for the good of man. I personally do not like organized religion because they always preach false doctrine and stray far away from the word of God, however, I am a practising Christian, which means I am not perfect and I try to show mankind the love of Christ at all times. God bless you and yours in your endeavor to find peace.

YOU DID NOT SAY WHAT GOD'S YOU BELIVE IN, BUT I CAN SAY THAT THERE IS BUT ONE TRUE AND LIVING GOD. YOUR GOD,S ARE DEAD AND ONLY EXIST IN THE SPIRIT WORLD AS DEMONS (WICCA=WICKED)! I AM NOT GOING TO TRY TO UPSET YOU BUT TO EXPLAIN MY VIEW. DEMONS WERE ESPECIALLY ACTIVE DURING THE LIFE OF CHRIST ON EARTH. AS EMISSARIES OF SATAN, THEY ATTEMPT TO HINDER GOD'S PURPOSES. IN SCRIPTURE THEY ARE CALLED "WICKED" AND "UNCLEAN". THEIR OWN FORM OF DOCTRINE(1 TIM. 4:1-3) LEADS TO IMMORAL CONDUCT IN THE LIVES OF THOSE WHO FOLLOW IT. ULTIMATELY ALL DEMONS AND THOES WHO FOLLOW THEIR DOCTRINE WILL BE CAST INTO THE LAKE OF FIRE
(MATT. 25:41) . THE FINAL ABODE OF THE LOST WAS ORIGINALLY PREPARED FOR THE DEVIL AND HIS FALLEN ANGELS (DEMONS). MAN GOES THERE BECAUSE HE REJECTS CHRIST OFFER OF SALVATION . THE DEMONS ONCE HAD THE PRIVILEGE OF FELLOWSHIP WITH GOD AND REJECTED IT. BUT YOU CAN HAVE THE PRIVILEGE OF FELLOWSHIP WITH GOD THE FATHER THROUGH SALVATION IN JESUS CHRIST. ETERINTY IS A LONG TIME TO SUFFER. (REV. 20-10) STATES AND THE DEVIL THAT DECEIVED THEM ,WAS CAST INTO THE LAKE OF FIRE AND BRIMSTONE . SORRY OUT OF SPACE
