I have bi-polar and I binge on candy and sweets. Halloween is in 2 days and that is hard on me with all the candy. A few days ago , I opened the bags of candy to organize it for trick or treaters . I picked some chocolate and hard candy out and put it a small ziploc bag and I wanted to make it last until halloween. It's almost gone. I only have a few blow pops and Jaw breakers.
While I am thinking of how to write this ; I guess I have a little stress going on in my life.Wednesday I am going out of town for a few days for a conference. I am supposed to dress nice- Kind of dressy but I am worried about what to wear if it's going to be cold . Last week it was snowing where I am going. I have a little obsessive problem . I want everything to be just right. So can anyone relate ? Any advice ?

I thought I was the only person to have this problem. I binge at night when I'm alone or stressed. I want to stop. I go on the computer at night when I'm alone so I don't eat. I go on answers until I'm tired and because I'm typing and thinking I don't have the hands to eat or time.

You need to keep your environment controlled, if your afraid of what people will think of you packing extra in case of the cold weather, who cares?!
Pack all you want for the conference if it makes you feel more in your comfort zone and keeps you from stressing because your too cold or too hot.
Everyone can get obsessive & you know what, thats good your obsessive. You are controlled, organised and always ready.

Only you can control those nibblies, if you know you are going to binge & overeat on them, then don't buy them.
Buy strawberries, cherries, cashews, dried fruits, nuts to nibble on. Promise yourself to keep it limited such as "No Blanche, you are going to have only this small bowl to nibble on or you will spoil your dinner" (It feels crazy talking to yourself but believe it, it works)

Do not participate in Halloween if you are going to eat all the candy & chocolates meant for the trick-or-treaters, your only encouraging yourself to eat it.

I use tic tacs. They are small and you can get that sweet tooth fix without feeling all that guilt. You might want to try drinking tea when you feel like bingeing. Also try keeping your hands busy. It is hard to eat anything if you are typing or knitting, sewing, latch-hook rug making, model planes, ships in a bottle, house cleaning, anything.

I also have a problem with this. In all honesty, I usually have my husband lock up the food. It may seem extreme, but it works...
