I have really dry elbows. I have some kind of thing that runs in my familly and I forget what it is called. Ayway, I am currently using Lubriderm seriously sensitive Lotion but I put it on, 3 minutes later my elbows are just as dry and white. I am going to go to a Dr. to get a special cream but I need a good lotion until then. Any suggestions?

To get rid of the dry skin use an exfoliating wash. Also I love this creme for dry skin remover called "Pretty Hands and Feet" comes in a small blue squeeze bottle. It works wonders to get all the dry dead skin off and reveal the fresh new skin under it.

Then start using lotion every day on elbows. I like St. Eves lotion with Aloe Vera. It is wonderful.

I have dry elbows as well. I use Eucerin cream (not the lotion).

Apply as often as you can remember. Always apply at night and if you can, cover with a loose bandage (gauze).

Yes, specific lotions that say ....24 hours...there are various ones, and they are very good for any condition such as what you describe....and make sure you don't have an infection.

Also, stop using soap when you wash your arms....it may be too harsh for your gentle, allergic skin....and never use deodorant soap as that is extremely harsh on skin.

Try using vaseline at night before bed, just a thin layer.
