Nurse, doctor, medical transctiptionist....what are the other profiles that need to take up a course in anatomy and physiology?

Well, if you are going to be a doctor or nurse, medical transctiptionist, etc. you woud have to know the body parts, how they work and how to know if something is wrong. It's nice for me because I know what people are talking about now when they are talking about this hurts or that hurts or just to carry on conversations with other med. personnel. Other than that I am not sure what you are wanting to know.

It depends....what do you want to study in your future.
....ask your guidance counselors and/or teachers for suggestions as to where the study of each leads....i.e. are you planning to go into the medical field...anatomy is a must for the medical field.

It is easier and cheaper to obtain animals to dissect than cadavers. Also, when studying living systems, some things can not be done to humans for ethical reasons.
