I assume there is no black food coloring;

hmm..
I think I would just add as much as is humane, until the mixture is dark enough, then evaporate the water out of it and add some more ;-)

Black Food Coloring most certainly exists.
You can order black food coloring from companies such as: "Americolor"
It comes in super black, number 101.
The consistency however, is more past-like, and can be thinned out with water.
Look for companies that specialize in pastry items (Wedding cakes etc)
Mix 2/4 red. 1/4 blue and 1/4 yellow. A few more drop s of blue added darkens the black

11 drops red + 3 drops blue + 3 drops yellow should make black.

I say this because 3 packages of grape jello plus one box orange jello makes black jello.

3 drops red food coloring + 1 drops blue makes purple food coloring and you would times that by 3. 2 drops red + 3 drops yellow makes orange food coloring then you would mix them together to make black food coloring. This should work for you.

Or you can buy black food coloring at hobby stores.
Hope this helps. :-D

Blue yellow and pink make black, known colours. gray is a loss of coloration from black which potential it wish to be mixed with white to make gray, through fact white is a loss of all coloration. Or no longer hahaha

You probably won't get black, just dark purple but try red blue and green equally. And hey why don't you ever see black food coloring? Kinda strange isn't it! Lets all revolt and say we want black food coloring!!!!

you can try adding blue, red, and green and see what color you achieve - but it will just most likely be a greyish purple. You can buy black food coloring paste in baking specialty stores.

I think black is one of the basic colors. I don't think you can make it with the standard food colors.
