there's a couple I know of that are good. one is called Mobic, and the other is called Lodine XL.
just have her talk to her doctor about which one would be best for her. they're both prescription drugs. there are also prescription strengths of Ibuprofen.
I hope this will help your wife. I will keep you both in my prayers.

ANYTIME a person takes medicine of any kind there are side effects and that is why Dr's do so many blood tests on us when we are on medicines long term.
My mother takes Methotrexate and Methodone for her arthritis.
While her pain is not completely gone,it is managed and she doesn't hurt like she would if she took nothing.
I work in a Medical Facility and we have 2 Arthritis Dr's and in some cases these Dr's prescribe Remicade Infusion which is where the patient comes in and and an IV is started and they are given this medicine Remicade.
Maybe either Methotrexate,Methodone or Remicade would be workable options for your wife.
I am 53 yrs old and thus far if I have arthritis I am not aware of it though I do have aches and pains that I throw off to getting older.
I am aware that Glucosomine Condrontin is suppose to help with joints etc so I take it regularly along with my Calcium every morning and have for the last year. . . don't know if it will help with arthritis but if is an easy and cheap preventative. . . I hope.
Keep in mind that arthritis affects the joints and bones of an individual and bone/joint pain is often difficult to control so there is probably no complete relief of pain in any given circumstance.

Hi Pinkie,

Tyenol arthritis, try Tiger Balm can get at Oriental, & possibly health or GNC stores- rub into hands works has red pepper as an ingredient. Could look up home made concoctions from Leaf Doctor, essence oils. The more she uses her hands the better off she'll be. I hope this helps some & have a good day!

I take Mobic for my arthritis and I seem to do well on it....there is a generic name for it and I usually get the generic since it is cheaper.
