the dr can give you a prescription for a shampoo to kill them. also, use the comb on the hair to get the lice and nits off the hair strands. if you can not afford to get this, pine sol original scent will do the trick. put it straight onto the hair, careful not to drip it into the eyes. let it sit in the hair for 30 mins. then use the lice comb to get rid of the dead lice and nits. repeat within 5-7 days. be sure to wash all beddings, etc, as well.

the most important way to get rid of head lice is to wash all the bed covers and combs and brushes in hot water spray the sofa and all the furniture with the spray from nix you can buy at a drug store rite- aid ...and do your heads with the nix shampoo..

the only way is ............wash everything in really hot water and wash the hair in the stuff you buy for lice have someone go thru your hair in sunlite see better and every day there are ones you miss so do it again before they hatch . and get the comb with the tiny teeth.

Lots of OTC products out there at any drug store. But, don't buy anything with Lindane in it. It crosses the blood brain barrier and could cause brain damage.

You can get a shampoo at the drug store for this. Make sure she follows the instructions about washing bedding, etc. or they will come back.

Its called rid, and you can get it at any walmart, walgreens, CVS, ect... Wash all sheets, blankets, and spray furniture and carpet with the rid spray.

vinegar and olive oil they will not survive with olive oil put it all over your hair wrap with a plastic bag then comb it out
