Curly hair is genetically dominant over straight hair.

I think that you seem to have an obsession w/ race and hair, alot of your questions revolve around it. Nothing wrong with that, just an observation of mine. I may be wrong... Anywho, I had REALLY long hair when I was younger and people, people of 'different' races would always ask if it was mine. I'd tell them yes, and that was the end of it. Some believed it, others didn't until I let them touch it, but whatever. You don't usually see black people with really long hair whether it be curly or straight, and when you do, they're celebrities and they always wear a weave. Alot of black people wear weaves and change their hairstyles up, so it's natural to assume that a black person with long hair is sporting a weave. Just like, whenever I see a white woman with a tan, I always assume that she has been to a tanning salon or a beach. That isn't always the case though, some DO just have naturally radiant skin.

My man is mixed black/white and has beautiful curls. Our daughter has hair just like him and I have straight hair. I think its something in the genes.
And to Z-cat, mixed black people dont like being called 1/2 breeds!! geez

Predominant genes produce the curly hair.

Look up dominant genes or hereditary. It's interesting. I used to know all that but biology class was a long time ago!!

They are great people, but 1/2 breeds. We have a couple next door, I couldn't ask for a better friend.
