Get her some Crayola Wonder Markers and Paper. Her imagination will take over and it never gets old. Even though she does not know how to draw or color yet she can still scribble and even more so it will her teach in learning how to hold the marker. Plus she will also learn which hand is more comfortable to work with. And the best thing about the markers i that they do NOT color on anything but the special paper. My son is 17 months old and has been using them for that last 3 or 4 months and has loved them.

Hi there! My son is about the same age. He will be 15 months at Christmas. We got him a Kangaroo Climber (Made by Step2) for his 1st birthday. He just loves it!! He's a bit short to get himself up on the platform to slide, so I put a non-slip step stool underneath. Now you can't stop him!! They can use this up to 4 years old, so it will get lots of use. We have our son's set up inside, since it's too cold outdoors now. We put it on one of those interlocking foam mats, so he has a soft landing when he slides.
She might also enjoy the FisherPrice Grow With Me Kitchen. My son loves playing with the kitchen at his playgroup. It's one of the first toys he heads for when we get there.
I hope these suggestions help you. I have included links so you can have look at both items. I hope your sweet girl will have a wonderful Christmas. This year should be so much fun!!

Give her a personalized keepsake book. Go to www.iseeme.com. Animals bring letters to spell out the child's name. (Example: An ape brings the letter a, a bat brings a b, cat brings c, etc.) At the end of the story, the animals celebrate because they have created the perfect name. It's a beautifully illustrated book. I ordered them for my two grandchildren for their first birthdays. It tells a nice story and teaches the child how to spell it's name.

when you buy toys for her, buy age 1 1/2 to age 2 she'll grow into them and you won't have to buy more toys later. Just like people buy clothes for the children later on.
