Two suggestions: Try one of the Federal Reserve Banks Website. Search Federal Reserve Bank of NY official site, can't cut and paste links anymore was just there and they have introduction to interest, if this doesn't answer your questions, then search Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia or Florida. Sure the Government Printing Office offer literature on exactly what your looking for, but not sure if you can get them for free anymore.

I don't know what you mean by "real" interest rates but if you are talking about fed funds rate, prime rate, bond rates, etc., take a look at your daily newspaper's business page. In addition, take a look at bankrate.com. It lists current rates for lots of different products in different areas of the country.

Real interest rates? Real rates as opposed to fake rates?

What are you talking about...Real Estate rates? If so go to www.bankrate.com
