Okay so i have windows movie maker to make videos movies etc. Except i really need help. I want to get clips of shows and stuff from the internet but if they have sound how do you get the sound off so that when you add it into your video you cant hear anything, so you are able to put in a song or something. Help me please!

Well, I'm not sure how proficient you are with Movie Maker, so I will assume "not very."

At the bottom, it shows you clips that you have added to your storyboard. You will need to switch to Timeline mode, simply by clicking "show timeline" located directly above the storyboard. Now, to the left it says VIDEO, AUDIO/MUSIC, TITLE OVERLAY. Next to VIDEO there should be a small + symbol. Click that to expand it. You should now be able to see TRANSITION and AUDIO. Right-click on one of your clips, and click SELECT ALL. Now, down in the AUDIO portion, right click on the audio for one of the clips and click MUTE. It won't matter which one since you have select them all. This will mute any sound that came with the clip. It will not mute any sound that you have added. Also, you can mute individual clips this way, in case you want to keep the original sound for certain scenes. Simply select 1 clip, instead of all.
