In my garage I found some fishing line, and on the back it says
Warning Lead, etc.,etc. hazardous, etc., etc.

I looked up the symptoms that where on the back of the fishing line, and they are indeed the symptoms of lead poising.

Noone has gotten lead poising, but I would like to get rid of the fishing line.

Thanks.

How and where can I dispose of it?
Please find me some websites about it.

I live in Genesee County, Michigan.

Company's name:"Essentials SOUTH BEND"
M1425, 25 lb. (Holds), 220 Yd.s
The fishing line is a monofilament fishing line: High knot Strength, Abrasion resistant.

Whatever all that means.

I believe the fishing line you are talking about is a fly fishing line. They have or had a lead core at the end to make the line fly farther. Check with a fishing supply store in your area to see if the line can be returned to the manufacturer for disposal or contact you city/ytown to see where they have facilities for recycling lead items.
