If it does, and I have a little extra fat, it doesn't warm it very well. Isn't it just certain animals that works for?

Fat does serve as an "insulator", but your body doesn't necessarily burn up the fat in efforts to stay warm unless you are starving your body and it has nothing else to use.

I don't think it uses fat to warm you up, but to at least attempt to maintain your body temperature.

It doesn't have to. Most people are so full of carbs with all the starch they eat, fat doesn't have a chance.

maybe but im not sure..cuz i no that fat ppl still get cold..so i guess its not as convenient as a polar bears.
