popping boils is not a wise idea, it can cause infection under the skin and make it ten times worse. Go to your doctor and they will give you a shot of novacaine and then drain it out, youll feel 100 times better afterwards and if you take the meds they prescribe you, youll be able to sleep on your back. And it wont harm your baby. I had a boil when i was pregnant and they did everything i stated above.

Please be really careful with this, you should really see a doctor. I work in a gynecologist and recently have seen people with what they think or boils or insect bites and when they have it cultured find out that it is MRSA. I can't remember exactly what the intials stand for but it is a staph infection that is very, very resistant to medications and must be treated with certain antibiotics by mouth and topically as well as with injections and wound debridements in some cases. I'm not telling this to scare you. This can be really serious if that is what it is. If you haven't already seen a doctor for your pregnancy you really should make an appointment and get in with one. You should be taking prenatal vitamins and watching your diet as well as no precautions to take while you are pregnant. There are medications to take that are safe during pregnancy so don't think that they can't do anything just because you are pregnant.

Many times abscesses are local and treated easily with antibiotics so it is important that you seek medical treatment instead of trying to clear it up yourself. Although It is not always ideal to give pregnant women antibiotics, there are some relatively safe ones that you can take in your first trimester. Just a note...almost 40 percent of abscesses now are MRSA, which is a very resistive strain of bacteria causing an influx of infections in relatively healthy people. Not something you want to mess around with. Make sure you tell the doctor it keeps coming back and he may want to culture the drainage to rule out MRSA. If you keep trying to POP it yourself, if it's not MRSA you can risk introducing it into the open area. See your OB/GYN or go to the hospital. Relax, it is treatable...Be blessed..

I had the same thing happen to me when I was 3 or 4 months pregnant. DO NOT POP IT because the bacteria can spread in your system and be bad for the baby. DO THIS IT WORKS: make a paste out of baking soda and water (thick paste). Then apply it to the clothy part of a band aid and apply it. Keep reapplying a fresh band aid with the mixture until it dries up. Takes about a couple days or so, then it will disappear. I looked it up online, and it really worked!

Ok, ok. I have many of boils and I even had one just recently and I am 8months pregnant. First of all do not panic, you have to pinch it or have someone else do it if its hard to reach, make sure that person has gloves on! YOu can however let these heal with out antibodies too. I have had many, YOu have got to get that puss out of your body. I reccomend taking a very hot shower and letting the hot water run on it while you or someone else pinches.
Yes I know its gonna hurt like hell but you gotta get that puss out!
Make sure that you put a hot wash cloth on it for 10minutes, this will make the "head" of the boil appear, however this could take a few days and you have to be very consitant. If you are having a hard time popping it I really would call your dr and ask to be seen soon and see if they can either pop it which they will and or give you a script. But I have had many of these in my life and those are the best options. Also make sure that you put some kind of bandaide that is big enough to cover it and change it very frequently too.
