When I accepted Christ, I overnight quit a 25 year drug habit. As for changes in personality, a few I've noticed in my own life; patience, I had absolutely zero. Understanding, as in how other people might feel, I don't live my life pridefully, and I don't have a need for confrontations. I don't look for them, but I don't run from them, either. I choose to forgive rather than carry a grudge, or hate. The only other thing I've noticed in my own life is that I truly care for others, no matter their race, religion, beliefs, whether or not they're a christian, etc. Hope this answers your question.

Well the best person to look at for Christian personality traits would be Christ. He was loving enough to come to us in the form of a sinner, trading a crown for rags. He cared for those that others didn't and had mercy on them like the sick and tax collectors. He was self giving, dieing for our sins when at any point during his pain and suffering he could have said he didn't say those things and they had the wrong guy. He was humble and obeying because he could have let the crowd lead him away and make him king. He was merciful because instead of a sword he brought the word of God. These are some of the many traits I think that Christians should try and represent.

Thats steriotypical to ask what the dominant christian traits are, because everyone is different, but personally i believe they are
strenght, hope, compasion, they are very welcoming, as well as many other traits. Christians tend to be some of the nicest people i know, and always strive to be the best they can be.
if i had to pick one dominant trait it would be their hope.

I think the strongest character trait is an attitude of not being self absorbed anymore and a desire to be honest in your dealings of life and others.

They suffer long and are kind, they do not envy or puff themselves up, they do not behave unseemly, they do not seek their own, they are not easily provoked. They rejoice in the truth and bear all things, believe all things, hope all things, endure all things.
In other words, they love.
