Make sure you make time for breakfast. It should be the biggest meal of the day. Snack three times a day on things like carrots, apples, celery. Drink water. If you feel hungry and you've already had your meal or your snack water will make you feel full. If you don't like water then try other non-caffeine, non-carbonated beverages.

You could also do 2 minutes of sit ups and push ups a day. That's 4 minutes of excercise a day that'll show you plenty of results.

If you like to walk or run...a 1/2 hour a day...even better

Don't think of it as a diet. Just change your eating habits eating whatever you eant in moderation.

You should ask your mom to take you to your doctor for a physical. Then, ask him what you can do to lose weight. It's important that you do it the right way, not necessarily the quickest, in order to stay healthy and not gain the weight back. You didn't say how tall you were. I'm assuming less than 5 ft, in which case, losing a few pounds would be preferable. Walking is good exercise if you walk at a good pace, so is swimming laps if you have access to a pool. Also, you may want to take up a sport. Your diet should come from your doctor, but some good rules of thumb would be to stay away from bread, potatoes, rice, pasta, and sweets. Keep your eye on the goal and you'll make it. I wish you well.

Get involved in some fun activities or sports that get you moving. This will help you burn calories while you're having fun. And just cut back a little bit on the sweets. Don't start dieting at 10 years old. If you burn more calories than you eat, you'll lose weight eventually - healthy and naturally.

I recommend weight watchers. When my daughter was your age she weighed about 135. We went to weight watcher and she lost 15 pounds and entered middle school at a good weight. I weighed about 140 at the same age and was picked on during my middle school years.
