sounds like you have some issues with dry scalp.. You will think I am crazy and maybe I am but mayonaise is a great cure for dry itchy scalp.... Just try it. and get a good medicated shampoo that is very easy on your skin Hair care is an overall term for parts of hygiene and cosmetology involving the hair on the human head. Hair care will differ according to one's hair type and according to various processes that can be applied to hair. All hair is not the same; indeed, hair is a manifestation of human diversity. Here is a good article..... In this article, 'Hair care' is taken to mean care of hair on the human head, but mention should be made of process and services which impact hair on other parts of the body. This includes men‘s and women’s facial, pubic, and other body hair, which may be dyed, trimmed, shaved, plucked, or otherwise removed with treatments such as waxing, sugaring, and threading. These services are offered in salons, barber shops, and day spas, and products are available commercially for home use. Laser hair removal and electrolysis are also available, though these are provided (in the US) by licensed professionals in medical offices or specialty spas

Head and shoulders isn't moisturizing. Thats what you need is something with moisture. One thing that is very good for black hair is a brand called Keracare. I used to work in a salon and thats what they used all the time.

hi.. i think it depends on your hair condition. because everytime i have a dandruff, i just use head and shoulders and it just disappear after 1-3 days of use. i think the cause of that is because of your afro hair. afro hair really is not good with any shampoo. if you want to take of your dandruff i think you need to take of your hair. besides afro hair is really no good. a lot of germs comes to leave in there and if you get lice you really have a very big problem. here we have problems on 2 afro hair. i will tell you the strory...

there is this 1 afro kid.. and he doesnt wanna wet his hair like he used to before and he just use dump water.. after months.. he goes to the hospital and complains about his head being so painful.. (really painful and itchy).. when he had his operation.. they opened his scalp and found a lot of bacterias (worms in side) and the doctors really did everything to remove it.. but because it really is so many.. the kid died..

there is also one story of this afro who is around 25.. he's got so many danruff.. and strated to get fleas and lice.. and becuase of his itchy head.. he scratches it so many times till his scalp got bleeding and had scratches around it.. after few months.. he also complained about his itchy head and went to the hospital.. they also operated on his head and when the doctor got to open it.. they found so many flease inside his scalp.. very many.. so very very many.. but because of his luck.. he got to live.. and never did he had an afro hair again.. well, he dont even plan on having a hair again.. hehe

So sorry that using the Head and Shoulders didn't work! There is an anti-dandruff shampoo called Nizoral that is formulated for African American hair. Check it out: http://www.nizoral.com/africanamerican/index.jhtml?id=nizoral/africanamerican/africanamerican.inc

Try Nizorol, it used to be by prescription, but it's sold over the counter now. Use it several times a week, not everyday.
