Oh, great question!
First, before you buy the ring, decide how much you want to spend and have a basic design in mind and sop around at differnt jewelers so you know you are getting the best value for your dollar.
Next plan on how you are going to ask her and when. The proposal is soooooo importnat, women will ask for years to come how you proposed so put some thought into it and follow your heart.
You can buy the ring the day before you propose if you'd like once you have those plans in place.
Best wishes!

Buy the ring when you're ready, and propose when you're ready. If you can't wait to propose to her. Get the ring, take her to dinner or cook dinner for her, and propose right after you get the ring. If you want to "build suspense," I recommend you buy the ring, and drop little hints here and there. Nothing too specific, but maybe just a knowing look every now and then. Make her think, "What is he up to?" Give it a few days. Let her wonder. Then go with the dinner thing. That's my suggestion. And GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!

It depends on the ring you want to buy. If it's custom made, it will take longer than if you go in a jewelry store and they have the ring you want right there. If you get it right at the store, it may need to be shipped out to be sized, which could take a week to ten days.
Good luck!

it depends. it could be the next day or it could take a few weeks to get it depending on a lot of different things.. like size, the type of ring, if they have it in stock or whatever. so i'd say get the ring, and dont' make any plans to propose until you actually have the ring in your possession. don't worry... shes not going anywhere in the next month, and if she IS, you shouldn't be proposing anyway!

Get the ring when you are financially ready. You can have the ring for a year or two days before you ask her. just make sure you're doing the right thing by asking her and make it really romantic. Ask her whenever you're ready! Good luck and God Bless!

I suggest you take her jewelry shopping, tell her its for a possible Xmas present or something. Let her show you what ring she likes, then move on like its not what you're there for. After that, go back and get the ring she liked, and choose the perfect time and place to give it to her.....GL;)

I'm not sure, but it does make it more impact if when you do ask that you actually have the ring with you.
