How much Excedrin are you taking a day? Which formulation are you taking (Migraine, regular, PM, etc)? Do you have any other medical conditions? Why are you taking this? What other medications, over the counter products and herbal products are you taking?
Excedrin contains aspirin, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory agent (same class as ibuprofen, naproxen and others). Larger doses and/or long periods of use are known to cause GI irritation, and can possibly lead to ulceration and GI bleeds. Ideally, people should minimize use as much as possible. If you are constantly in pain, you might need to talk to your doctor and/or pharmacist for additional options. Caffeine is an irritant as well and is in most formulations of Excedrin. You would be better off switching to products without the caffeine if you are having problems now and you are not taking it for migraine headaches. If you need to take the Excedrin you might try to take it with some food which might alleviate some of the irritation. Do not drink alcohol while taking the Excedrin, that would cause further irritation. Try to avoid smoking and spicy foods while taking the meds

There are a few good methods some may be combined!! Take an antacid first such as Pepto Bismal or Pepcid ac or or eat a couple Tums or Rolaids b4 and after taking the excedrin!! It also is a very good help to take the Excedrin and any antacid you choose such as pepcid with milk rather then water bcause the main component in all antacids is calcium!!

first do not take Excedrin it has cafeen in it and it will hurt your liver. use asprin ,ya i know,it is bad on the stomach, wash it down with heavy cream or half and half.asprin helps to thin blood and may help prevent stroke and heart attack, use it if your an adult only, not for children.oh ya it is about 5 times cheaper than your drug,so take two ,call me in the morning and that will be50.00 pay at the front desk

Excedrin is my favorite pain killer. It did upset my stomach a few times, so I started drinking a little milk and a soda cracker. It worked great!

Take it with either milk, to coat your stomach or have a bite to eat before taking it.
