something with protein will last longer. try to grab a protein shake or make some hard boiled eggs to take with you in the morning. take a multivitamin and drink plenty of water to help you stay awake too.

Ideally, you want to try to get three of the four food groups worked into your breakfast. Getting some complex carbohydrates (whole grain products) will give you energy and keep you awake. Here are some quick, healthy suggestions:

-a granola bar, a piece of fruit, and a yogurt
-whole grain toast with peanut butter and a piece of fruit
-oatmeal made with milk and topped with fruit (peaches, raisins, and apples are all great choices)
-whole grain, low sugar cereal with milk, topped with fruit
-fruit and yogurt smoothie with a low fat muffin
-whole grain bagel with cream cheese and a piece of fruit

If you like, you can also try Ready Crisp bacon for protein instead of peanut butter or dairy products. It cooks up really quickly in the microwave, and goes great with whole grain toast and a glass of orange juice! Keep in mind that bacon can be high in fat, though, and that you should eat it sparingly.

Hope this helps!

Kashi Brand Blueberry Waffles - Like with all Kashi products, they are high in protein and fiber. My husband is a super picky eater, and even he likes them. Another option is to make your own protein shakes. You can use a powdered base, like Met-rx, add milk and a banana, and your ready to go. If you need an extra dose of energy, you can add supplements like ginseng or green tea. All of that stuff can be bought at a Whole Foods Market.

How about a granola bar and a glass of milk or orange juice?

Cereal with milk or yoghurt, a piece of fruit or a glass of fruit juice and some toasted bread with a little jam on it.
Or, an egg on toast or baked beans on toast with a piece of fruit or a glass of fruit juice. Low GI foods that means they take time for the body to slowly burn and they fill you up until lunch time.

when you wake up, drink hot water with a slice of lemon..it speeds up your metabolism and will wake you up

then have some granola with yogurt - mix in some fresh fruit.

If you eat anything fried, you're going to feel more tired, not more awake.

Go more for the proteins. Carbs will pick you up, but slam you down about mid-morning. Pizza is actually a good breakfast!

scrambled eggs with some sort of veggie tossed into it, like onions and peppers. that and some OJ and a piece of toast, you'll be full for awhile but it's healthy! :)
