how about doing home checks before they go to each owner..its hard to let go but at least they will be loved...ask the new owner to send a photo once a year to show how pup has got on.
i would love to work for a cat charity but i know i would end up with bring all the poor moggies home( have 3 rescue cats already) so it will be the same for pups

It will get easier x

ok it is ok to be sad about the pups going to a new home, and i breed golden retrievers and when i start to sell my pups i do the same thing. it is hard to sell them because you watch them grow up and you see how they are going to be, but it is ok to feel this way. i am glad that you help other animals find new homes and that you volunteer to help with rescues, that right there is a good deed. not very many people want to devote their time to animals and waste their time with it. but in the long run other people will remember you and what you do for all the orphaned animals out there in the world.
you will have to sell them but just think of it this way, you will have more animals to save and provide good homes for them. you will have a chance to get more and save them too. it is hard i know, i go through this same thing all the time when i am breeding my dogs. i am a breeder and as a breeder i do know what you are going through, just hang in there and it will be ok.

It's hard isn't it?? I have worked at my local shelter and almost the same thing happened to me when I was first volunteering. Just think how good that puppy is going to have it now that he has someone to love him. Think also about you would not have the time to give the special attention to him as his new owners would. You would have 5 dogs to share love with and his new owners can dote on him only and spoil him rotten. You would probably be overwhelmed when the puppies got bigger also.

Think about the situation logically, would they really have happy lives with you and all their siblings?? I'm certainly not suggesting that you can't look after them, because I'm sure you've done a wonderful job so far but if they're going to different owners on their own then they're going to get lots of attention all for themselves and the owners only have to focus on them and not loads of other pups. Hope that helps xx

You need to realize that the puppies will get warm and loving homes and yes it ill hurt giving them up. But just think of the joy the puppy will bring to a new family and the joy the family will give to the puppy. I hope this helps and you are doing the right thing. Warmest Regards KG

As a breeder, I understnad what you are going thru. Each pup that leaves my home takes a part of my heart with it. Just make sure you find the pups wonderful, loving homes.

You're doing the right thing in letting them go. But I agree-it hurts like he!! to let 'em go.
Go immediately to the fridge and begin consuming massive amounts of chocolate ice-cream. Continue crying until you fall asleep with spoon in hand. You'll fell better by morning.

You are an oversensative person, get real, or you'll end up having so many you can't cope with that either.
Your boss must have nightmares.
