Romantic guys do exist. Just like there are women that only like sex from men.
I have had romantic guys and sometimes it got on my nerves. They expect you to remember certain "special" days and think that impromptu schedule changes are positively spontaneous and will bring you joy when in fact it could be inconvenient.
Everyone expresses the way that they care differently. If you have a mechanic type bf and he fixes your car for free, that's how he's romantic.
If you have a chef for a bf and he cooks for you, that's how he's romantic.
Romance isn't only the stuff you read in those harlequin romance novels and see on All My Children. That stuff is written by chicks.
Men have their own style and we have to learn to appreciate the individual style that our man may have.
What does he consider to be romantic coming from you? Do we as women ever think of that from his point of view? Or are we thinking that our definition should cover his wants and needs?
Tell me the answer to that.

The above statement is somewhat true. Guys tend to be more romantic within the first 3 or 4 months of dating. But that does not mean guys do not like romance. I think guys have a different idea of what romance is, that's my opinion. I, myself, can find a romantic situation out of something... that the guy would think is just normal. I don't pressure the situation though by saying "Oh, how romantic this is" when he's not expecting it.

My boyfriend of almost 3 years is very romantic. Probably many men are not, but what is important is for you to know what you want and not settle for less.
You say you are happy yet don't feel valued by him. These are incompatible statements! Who could feel happy if you don't feel valued.
(By romantic, I don't mean that you get gifts or flowers all the time, I mean that the other person is thoughtful, generous, and tells you they love you/care for you every day.)

I have learned that they are sentimental.....they just show it differently. Step back and pay attention to the things they do that you may take for granted.
As far as being romantic some men don't have a clue but if you tell them what you want they'll do it.

Come on.. That would be like me stating "Isn't it true the majority of women are gold digging whores?
A bit stereotypical don't ya think?
Guys may not be as emotional as women, but to say most aren't romantic is foolish..

Yes, but I don't care, as I'm not romantic or sentimental, either.
