What are these? I have never noticed that before, i am not sure if it's supposed to be this way.
What do you think? Have you ever noticed yellow little crumbs in your canned asparagus?

I don't eat asparagus, and when I cook it I but frozen, but I don't think that I would eat it. What color is the lable on the can?? Sometimes when you open a can, the lable will get caught in the can opener and get inside the can..

Read the ingredient label. If there is butter or another saturated fat in the asparagus it will be solid at room temperature. However,if you don't feel comfortable with it,don't eat it.
Also, some education for everyone-most food poisoning causes NO changes in the appearance of the food. Someone said if the can bulges it's E.coli-wrong,that's botulism and it's the only kind that might kill a healthy young person. Other kinds will generally make you miserable for a couple of days.
I'm not trying to say don't worry about it but the media always acts like any case of food poisoning is invariably fatal without pointing out that the person was a tiny child or 85 years old with heart disease.

Why ever would you eat asparagus from a can?? Fresh is the best! but seriously, if it doesn't look like it belongs in a can of asparagus, don't eat it. (when in doubt, throw it out.)

Ever see that pic that circulated a couple years back of the frog that a guy found in his can of peas?? ick. And the only sign, at first, that sometehing was unusual about that can of peas is that the liquid looked a little foamy.

Absolutely not. More than likely, it is a bacteria. If the can was bulging at all, probably E.Coli. I am no expert, but I do eat canned veggies now and then, and they should look much like the fresh ones, only brighter in color.
