it sounds like he's got someone else on the side and you call at a bad time when he/she was working his/her other poongtang. You may not be compatible w/him/her. He/She may be getting what he/she desires with someone else. If he/she really loved you he/she would be jonesing to be with you and wanting to hear from you so bad. So be careful and try not to get hurt any further.

This could be only one of two things. Either that person really does like you but maybe has gone through some other things and was trying to reassess things before marching forward with the relationship. The other is that this person is a controller and is simply molding your reaction and respones to his choices to see if you will continue. How much do you like this person? If enough ... just ask them what'sgoing on in their heart and head.

Most people today don't know how to spend time alone with themselves. I have lost count of how many time I hear someone say "I hate being alone. I need to be around someone all the time". This is most prevailent when one is young such as highschool or college because you are accustomed to getting attention and sharing your life with friends. I had friends such as you describe. But your question is too broad. Does this person LIKE to spend time alone and you are the needy one? Or, perhaps this person uses someone as they come along. For example This week it will be Kim that I hang out with and when she is busy with her life I will hang out with you because I know you are free. And to keep you around I will tell you I love you so you feel obiligated to be with me. Do you want this? Never allow your friends or significant other to dictate how to run your life.
I once had a g/f in highschool who would complain if I did something as simple as a crossword puzzle because she felt she had to too - like showing off. Young minds are highly competitive for attention and always feel they need to fit in. I realized at that moment that she was not really my friend if she felt obligated to behave in this fashion. My friends today are loyal to me because I am loyal to them. We understand each other - especially our quirks. THAT is true friendship. Don't cry over those you lose throughout your life, you will meet far more interesting positive and true people as you live.

I would quit focusing my world around a bf/gf and live my life. Life goes by too fast to be worried over the opposite sex. Enjoy your youth while you still can.
