It goes into the sewage system where it's taken to a sewage treatment plant. There is goes through many processes to make the wastewater fit to be reintroduced into the environment.

If you interested in how sewage gets treated, there's a good Wikipedia site on it.

Depends on the community. It's either stored in a septic tank which is periodically pumped out and the waste transported to a treatment plant, or is flushed into the municipal sewer system and travels to the treatment plant.
Due to environmental regulations, very few communities dump their waste directly into the local watershed any more.

Depends on where the human lives. In some cases it goes through the sewer to a treatment plant before being disposed of, either in a sewage lagoon or out to sea. In other cases, the sewers go directly out to sea and the untreated sewage is simply poured into the ocean.

It depends on where you live. If you're on a "city" or "county" sewer system, it typically goes into a waste treatment facility where it's "cleaned up".

If you're on a septic / seepage system, it's leeched into a holding tank, and the ground, in some cases.
