Your first step is a visit to your vet to be sure there is no infection or other medical problem. If the vet says the pup is healthy, you have to examine the background of the reason for the urination.
Are you leaving water down at night for her, and with the heat on in the house, she is drinking more and thus having to go? Since you are asleep, she might not know how to ask you for out at this time. If so, pick up the water about one hour before you go to bed.
Has another dog previously urinated in the spots she is going in? She might be claiming this territory from former dog(s) as her own. If this might be the case, clean the carpeting thoroughly.
Has her behavior otherwise also changed somewhat? Is she demanding attention, jumping up on the couch, especially on the back with her head higher than yours? Is she not obeying your commands like she did previously? If this is the situation, you might be facing the typical two-year-old maturity where dogs start to challenge the authority of their owners.
If that is the case, you need to start working on her with obedience lessons and behavior modification. Look into the NILIF (nothing in life is free) programs, into alpha training.
In any case, you need to clean the carpeting thoroughly with Simple Solution or Nature's Miracle (available at pet supply stores or on-line). These two products will remove the scent of the urine to the dog's nose, making it less attractive to go there again.
Dogs don't urinate to get attention. Dogs don't urinate to show spite. They urinate to claim/mark territory, out of fear or simply because their bladder is full.

My first guess would be that she could have a bladder infection ... I'd take her to the vet for a checkup.
If all is well physically, ask yourself, Is anything different? Have you been working more, or has someone moved in or out of your house? Do you have a new pet? Any of these things could be stressing her out.
Also, is it getting a LOT colder where you live? I know my Maltese -hates- going outside in the winter and is much more prone to having accidents in the wintertime.

Have you been spending less time with him or more time in front of him doing something else like having a new companion or person over? Animals are just like humans and can get very protective, jealous and feel neglected. Another question is has your dog been nutered? That may be playing a role. Have you noticed any new pets in the neighboorhood?

First go to the vet and make sure there are no medical issues, bladder stones, infections, ect... If there are no medical issues then you need to reinforce potty training with your dog. Believe it or not, some dogs get to feeling like they own the house and everyone in it and will start to show dominance by peeing inside.

Did you get a new dog? Have you been around other dogs lately? Is there a new dog in the neighborhood that she has come in contact with? A number of things could cause this behavior. She could simply not be getting enough attention from you. Dogs aren't as nieve as some people may think. I hope this helps!! :)

You may have to clean the carpet and cover that spot with furniture until she starts going outside again. Females who have access to the outside rarely wet inside.
Something has happened to change her. She is not juat a bad dog. You may never know, but work with her gently.

this can be 2 things! 1 she may be upset about something or 2 she may have a bladder infection!! i would take her to the vet to rule out an infection since this can cause serious problems with her! if she is o.k. then try and figure out what can be upsetting her! has anything changed in your house ect.!! good luck:)

Have there been any changes in your home recently? my shi-tzus have a tamtrum when something is different(like someones visiting for a few days) and start peeing all over the house. If you can find no differences, you might take her to the vet, because she might be having urinary tract problems

i think that maybee some type of stress is causing this. or maybee it was a past trama of the dog
good luck with it. go to a vet if you think its getting out of control. there is another possiblity that the origiainl training was not done correclty and that you are going to havfe to retrain the dog

Are there any other pets in the house? Animals usually do this to mark their territory and the smell of their urine is a warning for other animals to stay away.
