I think it's the most ridiculous idea I've ever heard!
All they are doing is creating a war zone there.
What needs to be done is to make laws stricter so that an illegal immigrant is unable to be supported by the government, regardless of whether they have children born in the USA or not.
Fix the system, don't fight over the borders. Jeeeeezzz.

The new bill to build a wall is politically rather than exigency motivated. Politicians want to pretend they are addressing serious immigration issues (which relate to fears of foreign Islamic terrorists, of course). Cameras and agents are needed, as well as ways of handling those who come in illegally - detaining them somehow, or making the Mexican government account for the millions crossing the border. The wall building is all politics.

I have to say "No". While I think we should deport ALL of them, I don't think the wall will do any good. Who is going to guard the wall? What about tunnelling? (That's already happening, by the way...) What about the "tourist companies" that are bussing them in several times a day? When you look at HOW the illegals are getting here, the wall won't make much difference.... It will be a costly waste. I propose cracking down INSIDE our own borders first.

NO! I think the money could be spent better ways. I live in a vegetable farming community where they raise steak tomatoes grown on sticks hammered into ground. first they make rows of hills in the fields, than they put irrigation hoses on hills, than put plastic over the hills.
than they hammer in sticks every 2 foot and after that they plant every tomato plant. After the plants start to grow every 10-14 days they have to tie each and every plant to the stick.Than the picking starts. This doesn't wait for mother nature. After all the picking is done the strings have to be cut off, sticks pulled, plastic and irrigation hoses picked up and thrown away to start over next year.Plus all other undesirable jobs they do.
Oh ya.I forgot to mention that all this l done by hand!!!!!!!!!!!!
I know of very few young legal Americans that would do that over working at a fast food restaurant or other minimum wage job.
I don't know the answer but I don't think a fence is the answer.

I think NO.
WE already have walls up in the Texas Mexico boarders. I Think in the long run it will cost more to maintain. OUR ARMY or NATIONAL GARD, should be protecting our boarders.
FYI, I built homes, with out any Mexicans help. I have painted, drywall, sanded, caulked you named it I have done it. A day without illegals would be a blessing.

sure.,,,a minimum of a barrier that actual works, and sponsored up by technique of nicely armed troops. this difficulty has been omitted up till very cutting-edge situations to the point it has and maintains to reason large and severe issues throughout us of a. the fee in crime, drug smuggling, lost jobs to individuals, clinical and tutorial price at tax payer burden...and so on...and so on. obviously NOW 10's of thousands of Iraqi are coming, which must be a real hoot. close this u . s . a . for a minimum of 5 years and reorganize the immigration quotas, guidelines and administration so as that it facilitates those deserving to enter yet tightly reflects for capacity challenge peoples...with difficulty-loose experience and common sense, not Bleeding heart liberal stupidity.

I would say it is the wall along the American border, Of course, it is to keep the illegals out, and of course Americans will be building it and of course Americans will be paying for it.
I'm in agreeance with it although it's not enough, it is something.
So much more can be done but we shall just wait and see.
I think illegals are a waste of money, So i would rather see money spent on the fence and not them :o)

Nope. It won't work. It might stop a kangaroo but not determined and clever Mexicans. They are capable of making One Giant Leap for Mankind after a belly-full of mommas delicious jumping beans.

No, because it will cost every state who builds one WAY too much money, which will not be paid by the government, but instead by the idiot citizens who voted for it and the poor rest of us who voted against it.
Yes, because it will prevent *ss-holes who come over here for our SSI money and no intention to get citizenship from coming over.
But in the end, it won't do sh*t. I say this because citizenship to America is way too easy to get. The government is letting terrorists legally waltz in. They should take a lesson from Japan's way of getting citizenship.

I am a Liberal who thinks a fence might be a good idea. The single thing I dislike is the issue being used for political profit by both sides. That sort of contaminates a pretty good idea, to my way of thinking. It tempts me to dismiss the fence with "screw them and their stupid fence." But that's ONLY a temptation. It's worth building.
