Seen a job on a Canadian website..Am I allowed to send my resume, or is that not allowed? If yes, and I get offered a job, do I then automatically receive a work permit? The jobs are displayed worldwide and there is no restriction on the site, or is there?
Serious answers only please?

I have no criminal convictions. I would not be classed as a skilled worker. I worked for the UK postal service for a very long time (mail carrier).

Of course it's allowed. And if you are hired, then you apply get a work visa. Usually the company will take care of all the paperwork for you.

Edit - you don't automaticlly get the Visa. But as long as there is nothing sketchy about you - no felonies, and you're not a terrorist - then it is usually not an issue.

Nothing to stop you applying. Canada does have specific criteria for accepting foreign applicants, one of which is that there is no one in Canada who can do the job!
Work permits are not automatic, the whole process can take at least 6 months and they ask some very personal questions. (Almost amounting to 'who did your granny sleep with?' The plus side is, that once accepted to work in Canada, citizenship is automatic after 3 years.

Yes you can apply for a job. However before you actually work in that country, you must have the proper papers and authorisation.

Some employers state that you must be eligible to work in the country at the time of applying. i.e. already have a visa.

Yes, you are allowed to apply in another country for a job. The problem is that the government of that country have to approve you to work, with a work visa. Good luck and I hope that you get the job.
