I had all 4 of mine surgically extracted... What questions do you have, i'd be more than happy to answer any questions you may have. I'm also a Registered Dental Assistant of 14 yrs now... Email me, if you like.

All cases are and can be different, i will tell you that. Depends on if you had them surgically removed or by regular removal. Also depends on if they were impacted or not.

I had my bottom ones out. The first day and night were ok. I was really thirsty. I could hardly open my mouth though. I couldn't even get my toothbrush in there. The 2nd day my cheeks were swollen. I was told to put cold on the first 24 hours on my cheeks to minimize the swelling then use heat like a heat pad on them after that. I really didn't take much pain meds though. I slept with my head propped up on 2 pillows. I ate mashed potatoes and pudding mostly. Alot of water to drink. I had to change my gauze quite a bit. It was a long time before I could open my mouth and eat regular food. I couldn't get a spoon in my mouth fully either. I got mine out a couple years ago on Oct 30th and by a week before Thanksgiving I was eating ok. You will do fine, just take it easy. And rest. All I wanted to do was rest and sleep.

I had mine cut out a while ago. I was tender for about 3-4 days. I just made sure I stayed away from the spices and kept the food toward the front of my mouth to chew. Any kind of sore in your mouth heals quickly that is why doctors don't give medications for them.
