Komondors are not an easy breed to find, and when you do, many of the breeders are extremely selective about who they sell their puppies to, because of the extensive care involved in owning one. If they ask you questions and you are unable to answer them, they may be less likely to sell you a puppy.
I would say to do lots of homework and make sure that you know a lot about the breed before even contacting a breeder. Know the care that is involved in grooming them, and any common health problems that are associated with the breed.
It is not likely that you will find one locally, as there are not many breeders of these dogs in the US. If you are truly interested, be prepared to spend a lot of money to get one. The prices of the puppies will be high due to them being a fairly rare breed, and you will probably have to pay for shipping of the puppy, or travel to pick it up.
To save a little money, you could do an internet search for Komondor Rescue groups. You probably won't be able to get a puppy from them, but would be able to adopt an older dog for a fraction of the cost. They may also be able to point you in the direction of a reputable breeder if they have no dogs available for adoption.
Hope this helps.

I would go to a local dog show -- you can find a list of them on infodog.com -- and try to find some Komondor breeders. If you can't find any, look around for Puli breeders (similar breed) and see if they know any Komondor folks.
However, a word of warning ... DON'T try to talk to the handlers right before they go in the ring! They are usually very tense and don't have time to chat right then.

Go to the American Kennel Club (AKC) web site and start there. I believe they have links to breeders.
