@ ninedemonsgod: You are right! There are still idiots that are waiting for a kung fu grand poobah to come down from the Hymilayas and annihalate all the JuJitsu fighters like in the UFC.

Nope, never happen. They lose all of the time unless you consider Cung Le as Kung Fu guy due to his San Shou background.

I'm waiting to see all people come in and say Kung Fu master doesn't do a such thing. This is simply because they can't prove anything, so they need to make up a excuse. You know how those kids are when they lose game they're like "I was going easy on you because I doesn't try hard against nonprofessional player", "I wear wrong shoes today", and the list goes on. That's kind of answer people resort to when they know they're wrong and can't convince anyone of anything.

If you are looking for a fight with rules that protect the fighter against injuries or worse, then the playing field may be evened out.

What a lot of people don't know is that many kung fu styles are complete systems which even include grappling/joint locks/ground fighting/pressure points/dim mak and of course, striking. Look up Pan Qing Fu, the grandmaster credited for busting up 2 dozen gangs in China. Try doing that armed with Jiu Jitsu expertise.

To your "what if" question, I give you some real life info. You decide.

I love people who know nothing about martial arts except for what they see on UFC. For starters you are not watching a fighter onlyu trained in Jujitsu fighting a fighter only trained in Kung Fu. The Jujitsu fighter in order to compete has learned Muay Tai or another striking art to round out his skills hence making him a mixes martial artist. I'm sure if you actualy researched fighting rather than beaking off after only seeing modern MMA events, youd see that most of the fighters in Pride and UFC all have multiple techniques and yes Kung Fu is one of them for some of the fighters. As well as Judo and Wrestling and Aikido.
Matt Hughs is a Wrestler who learned ground and pound and a few submissions from the Militich fighting systems. BJ Penn is a black belt in jujitsu and Matt beat him so... I thought so.

So as you read this and talk all your smack about me and my answer. Remember until you can be real and ask or answer a question from actual knowlage or experience, stick to somthing else you might know more about. You don't see me talking about about political issues in Bali...

it's not that the ju jitsu system is better, only that their fighters train much harder than the average kung fu fighter. i like both systems for different reasons. but, like you said, ju jitsu is dominant for now in the ring. in the street, i sure wouldn't want to go to the ground against more than one person, though.

also, cowboys were well know to tear off ears, gouge eyes and bite off noses in fights. there are definitely things not allowed in the ring that are effective against wrestlers.
