I have straightish hair and I was wondering how to get temporary curls in my hair w/o damaging it. I want to get something cheap (like around or under $10) and was wondering if anyone had any advice on that. Also, I saw an ad in a 1996 magazine for a company called "Curls for a change" and was wondering what happened to it.

will a curler damage my hair, tho? won't the heat fry it?

with damp hair:
section off 1 or 2 inch sections of hair (depending on how long and how thick) twist until it twists into itself. apply a dab of pomade to ends and pin using 2 pins in an 'X' under the twist. wait to dry (go to bed) then unpin. apply pomade to hands and untwist. finger comb hair (the more you mess with it the more pouffy it will be until the pomade heats up then your hair will go limp- so don't play with it once it's finished)

Well, you could put a lot of mousse on it and buy a curling iron from a drugstore...rollers probably would work or you could crimp it. That would be really cute too!!! ♥
