You can love someone but not be in love with them. If your not sure you more than likely don't feel the same way or your not ready. Talk to him about it if you feel your not ready. Just say something like when the time is right that you can say it but nows not the time. Also your boyfriend may feel the need to tell you he loves you because he feels it will make your relationship stronger and that it is necessary. Honesty is the key to your relationship.

Sometimes you don't have to say anything. A smile, kiss or sqeezing his hand as you giggle just might tell him you have feelings for him, but aren't ready to pop open the big L word just yet.
But saying nothing and doing nothing could give the opposite message. And this might hurt him.
But if you do love him, then i think it's obvious what you'd say there. But if it were that obvious, i doubt you'd be asking for help. Right?
Hope this helps.

It sounds to me like he really loves you. You having to ask us what to say tells me that your not really sure if you love him. This has happened to me. You may love him but your not "in" love. If you were then you'd tell him I love you too. You need to sit in a place where it is quiet and just think about this, and don't feel sorry for him and tell him you are if your not in love. God Bless!

If you love him and are comfortable with him, tell him.
If you don't love him, tell him that his sentiment is sweet and smile.
If he has some type of expectation behind his statement (he's scamming you), read him the riot act and let him know that you aren't some dumb chick that's going to fall for such b*llsh*t.
Life is short. Don't waste it with someone that makes you feel pressured, with someone you don't really care for, or hiding your feelings from someone you love.
Be courageous!

well do you love him back? If so then tell him you love him. If you're not there yet be honest with him, tell him you care for him deeply but you are not at that point in your life yet. Nothing hurts worse when someone says it and not means it.

Clearly, you do not love him back. If this has somehow escaped his attention, you should let him know how you feel. A tactful way to do this is to say: "I'm not sure of my feelings right now; please don't pressure me." He will get the message. Do not, under any circumstances, tell him you love him out of pity.

If you love him, and truly love him, not just puppy love or infatuation, tell him. If not, be honest with him. Tell him you care about him, but love is not something that can be just thrown around like a rag doll.

If you do not love him in return, just say "Thank You" and don't let him force you into saying something that you DO NOT feel, you'll regret it later. Don't let him make you feel guilty about something that you have no control over which are his feelings. If you Do love him in return then just tell him.

only say i love you back to him if you actually do, if you dont, then you can get away with a smile and a hug without making things awkward between the two of you.
