Shrimp cook very fast---like 30 seconds or less per side! If you over cook them it's like chewing on an old inner tube and to me that is a waste of time and money!

Boil water.....when it is at a fast boil, toss in the shrimp with the shells on. Cook for 30 seconds. They will turn orange but will not curl too much. After that, remove shells (I leave the tail on). If you want, you can then toss them in a sautee pan with butter and garlic real quick then toss in some angel hair pasta....mmmmmmmm!!! Can I come for dinner?

the best bet is not really cook it -- drop it in hot boiling water right after you take it off the heat. it changes to pink and its done. in 2-3 mins depending on the size of shrimp. most asians cook most fish this way -- pour scalding broth on top of raw fish/shrimp.

When it turns from opaque to white, it's done. Any time past white it gets tough and rubbery. You can boil it, grill it, bake it, and just about any other way you can think of. Remember it will cook in very little time, so if you are adding it to another dish, you may want to give consideration to adding to the latter part of thye cooking time.

buy the cooked frozen shrimp. boil water, turn off fire. Soak frozen shrimp for 7-8 min. Voila..done.

Shrimp is very easy and QUICK to cook...I saute just until it turns pink which is just a few minutes...Good luck!
