Hey! I am trying to lose 25 pounds and I was wondering how a food gets a certain amount of points in Weight-Watchers. How do you get the total points? How many points are you allowed to have in a day? If someone could please help me, I'd be so thankful!

Good for you! WW is a great program. Food is "rated" by the following 3 factors: Total fat grams, amount of calories, and total fiber grams. So, if you eat a food that is high in fiber and low in calories, you will be eating a low point food. As far as how many points you are allowed, this goes by your current weight and exercise level. Go to a meeting, join up, and purchase the food guides and point counter.

I did weight watchers and lost 50 lbs. in four months. You are given an amount of points per day depending on your weight and food items have a certain number of points. You also need to exercise. Go to weightwatchers.com and they explain it all

They only work for the period of time that you eat certain food and count their points.

For life changing, skip sugar, soda and white bread,
have sugar free or low sugar breakfast every day,
add veggies & fruit, and more fruit,
drink lots of fat free milk, & water

Have one meal a week where you totally indulge then go back to eating where you choose fat free and low calories,

eat sugarless candy if you need to, or dark low sugar chocolate,
low fat protein including fish,
and add lots of fiber to your diet.
Make it a point to walk at least 5 minutes 3 x per day...inside or outside....inside going up & down steps,

and relax and smile that you're taking back control!
