I had no problem with it. They put you to sleep, and your in seventh heaven when you wake up. I didn't even have much pain after it wore off, just a little soreness.

Nope. If you are squeamish, ask for general anesthesia. If you are completely knocked-out, you won't hear the noise in your mouth while the dentist is pulling the teeth out.

I had two impacted and other normal wisdom teeth removed. I had to be careful what I ate, but otherwise felt fine. And I went shopping the day after oral surgery.

Usually they're surgically removed by an oral surgeon, not "pulled" by a dentist... though, it's possible. With the right prep and meds, it's not so bad. Just be sure to follow the dr.'s instructions on taking care of the sockets for a few days afterward.

Not too bad. I wouldn't do it just because I was bored. But the benefit is worth the procedure.

Infact, it is suggested that you have your wisom teeth extracted. They surve no purpose and often times are problematic due to:
1) partial impaction
2) complete inpaction
3) hard to reach, so decay
4) pericoronitis (when part of your gum is covering the tooth and you get infections as a result due to food impaction)
5) etc

The younger you are, the easier it will be for your body to heal after the surgery. Get them out as early as 16 years of age.

I was really scared. But of course, they put you out when they do it. I was ok the first day and night but the 2nd I had cheek swelling and didn't feel so good. I couldn't hardly open my mouth and just ate mashed potatoes and pudding. I didn't take much pain medication but I couldn't bend my head down. It is not easy but in about 3 weeks I was back to normal eating and everything.

Depends... They had to put me under anesthesia for mine cause they were really embedded. My husband was in and out of the dentist. Just remember this tid bit... I know that it will taste awful but bite down on a tea bag as tea helps the blood clot faster. Pain meds will help with the pain... make sure they give you a prescription

Girl let me tell ya what! ASK FOR LAUGHING GAS!!!!! And they can tell ya they are bobbing your ears like a Doberman and you will say HEY OK BY ME! They more or less cut them out and you feel no pain. Worst part is you cannot eat potato chips or what they call solid food. I myself, ate hotdogs and bread chewing with my front teeth and swallowing straight down by-passing the rear gums

Not when you consider all the pain they would give you if you didn't have them out. The dentist will give you pain pills that will tide you through for a few days.
