Mexico is at war against us. We are not fighting back yet.

Many wars are fought, and won, without a shot fired. They usually consist of demographic conquest.

No... the war ended in 1848 with the Treaty of Guadalupe- Hidalgo.

And just for the whining of "La Raza" and such groups: Mexico SOLD 1.36 million km² (525,000 square miles) to the United States in exchange for USD$15 million. The United States also agreed to take over $3.25 million in debts Mexico owed to American citizens.

The remaining parts of what are today the states of Arizona and New Mexico were later ceded under the 1853 Gadsden Purchase.

Just a note: The Tready of Guadalupe-Hidalgo ALSO permits both sides to fortify it's border: ARTICLE XVI -Each of the contracting parties reserves to itself the entire right to fortify whatever point within its territory it may judge proper so to fortify for its security.

Congress has not declared war (yet) over Mexico's invasion... ah the wonders of a "global economy".

No. I think the non American Mexicans feel they didn't cross the border the border crossed them.If the U.S. gave Mexico California, Texas, and any other state their people would still be crossing the border. Seems their Gov. can't take care of the land they already have. I have alot of respect for Hispanic people. I can't blame a person that's trying to do better for themselves and their family. HOWEVER! if you want to live in the U.S. ya gotta pay taxes and play by the rules. This may be the land of the free but we have people in the grave who paid dearly for that. THERE IS NO FREE LUNCH HERE! So if you think your special we may have to send you home.
