ANYWAY
People are unreasonable, illogical and self-centered.
Love them anyway!
If you do good, people will accuse you
of selfish, ulterior motives.
Do good anyway!
If you are successful, you will win
false friends and enemies.
Succeed anyway!
The good you do will be forgotten tomorrow.
Do good anyway!
Honesty and frankness make you vulnerable.
Be honest and frank anyway!
What you spend years building may be
destroyed overnight.
Build anyway!
People really need help
but may attack you if you help them.
Help them anyway!
Give the world the best you have
and you’ll get kicked in the teeth.
Give the world the best you’ve got anyway!
This is for all the Niceguys and their friends in this world. God bless and I hold no hard feelings for all of your hatred and angry words.

It is from a tribute to Mother Theresa but I recently was informed that it was adapted from anothers writing. I cannot remember the name given.

Really needed that tonight! So, here's my thank you:
At Yahoo Answers sometimes we are
unreasonable, illogical and self-centered.
Hang out with us anyway!
If you really try to be entertaining or informative,
people may accuse you
of being shallow, boring or wrong.
Put out your best stuff anyway!
If you keep talking, you will win
invisible friends and enemies.
Shine anyway!
The good you do may be “buried” tomorrow.
So bring on some new stuff every day!
Honesty and frankness makes you vulnerable.
But ”honest and frank” is the only way!
What you spent years figuring out may be
somebody else’s joke.
Laugh anyway!
People who need the most help,
may attack you when you try.
Try anyway!
Give the world the best you have
and you’ll get kicked in the teeth.
Find more teeth on ebay.

Niceguys finish first - with help of big brother...
Seriously I am not smart enough to remember this wonderful poem/motto.
Usually I say "Don't forget to twist the knife after stabbing." But I'm not a good person.
Hope Spooky is ok.
Hope you had a great quiet weekend, before the sugar rush hits.
P.S.
BOO!

What you have written is the very essence of life itself.
To live life for others, not concerning ourselves with the things that are said and done to us by a profane world.
It is at the very foundation of Jewish thought;
To leave this world a better place for our having been here.

Yes I have read this before & thank you for sharing it with others. What an amazing woman she was. How selfless she was, not pridefu,l which causes a lot of us to not do the things she did.

Very nice. I also like what Mother Theresa said - 'If you are a Muslim, be a good Muslim, if you are a Jew, be a good Jew, if you are a Hindu, and if you are a Christian be a good Christian. She understood the universal Truth that there is one God and many religions. Gauranga! (Gore-runga) The universal greeting meaning may the greatest good and highest joy be yours.

If you are wrong, and someone tries to inform you, ignore them.
You're right anyway!
Persistence can be a virtue, but not in all situations, and so as a life motto is poor.

Oh I love that! It sounds very familiar, where did you get it?
Yes,it's coming back to me now, I did read a book on this. Another quote from it:
"Be nice to the people you meet on the way up,
because they're the same people you'll be meeting on the way down"

assuming jesus was a real guy, he would approve of this. so would gandhi.
i dont think i could do this though.. for one, it would take a lot of emotional maturity (that counts me out right there) . the person i'd like to be is FAR from the person i actually am
