I live in Toronto, Canada and am looking for an affordable vet/clinic to spay my small breed puppy. My vet charges around Can$300. Is that a good rate? Kindly provide me with a phone number if you have good recommendations. Please and thank you.

I have checked a few website but none are really for Canada. I tried calling the Toronto Humane Society and they said they do not provide information nor such services :(

Check with your local animal shelters...often times they offer low cost spay and neuter.

I am from Thunder Bay ON, and lived in Sault Ste. Marie ON and it's about $100-$175 for a cat in the Soo so I think in a city like Toronto that is an ok rate.
Ask around at work for peoples recomendations for a good vet then call around.

I definitly dont live in your area, but where i live you can go to the nearest animal shelter and ask for your dog to be spayed, and you can get it done WAY cheaper than you can @ vet clinics. Usually shelters offer this to reduce the number of stray puppies. I hope this helps.

Since vets charge by the weight of the animal, weigh you puppy and call around to your local vets for prices.

I live in Maryland, so I can't really help you. Our vet only charges $110 for any sized dog/cat to be spayed.

I live in the U.S., too, so that sounds like a high price to me.
Hopefully these links will help you. It has some low cost clinics in Canada. Good luck.

see if http://www.friendsofanimals.org has any vets in your area and works with Canada. I got my dog spayed with one of their certificates, it's affordable and easy.
If not, then ask local shelters and animal control. They should be aware of any low cost spay and neuter programs in y our area.
