We are both 13 (8th grade). We never really used to talk but recently we have been talking more. I have never had a girlfriend before so I am obviously apprehensive. I am not sure if she likes me but I really want to ask her out, she is the only one I have the confidence (what little there may be) to ask out. How do I go about asking her? I appreciate the help!

Bring it up carefully. I'm a fourteen, so I can see this from her point of view, having been there before. Don't just come out and ask her to go out with you, because she won't know what to say, and if you ask her straight out, she may say yes even if she doesn't want to.

Take your time and get to know her. Casually ask her who she likes. Take the conversation from there. If the odds seem to be in your favor, try bringing up the idea that you like her. Hint towards it, and if she questions you, tell her the truth.

Trust me, you can tell her that you like her. Girls never put a guy down for liking them. We think its sweet if nothing else, even if we don't like you, and won't go spreading the story. Just make sure you're both comfortable with the idea before bringing it up. Hope I helped! Good luck!

Hey bud. This may not be the answer you're looking for BUT, you don't actually HAVE to ask her out. Seems like a lot of people do "the dating thing" because it's so exciting and because everyone else is doing it. But, once we start applying these "boyfriend/girlfriend" lables, things get murky.
I only "dated" one girl. We started when we were 22, and broke up 2.5 years later when we realized that marriage wasn't right for us.
My advice: if you want to spend more time with her, then tell her. However, a number of people date so that they can have a person to call their girlfriend so they don't feel alone. This just ends up hurting other people, and possibly ruining a friendships that were really enjoyable.

Dude! Welcome to the real men's club! Be yourself and just talk to her and ask her if you two could do something together. She's probably thinking exactly the same thing about you. You have nothing to lose! (Except a little dignity! LOL JUST KIDDING) You can take the safe route and not ask her or any other girl for the rest of your life. Or you can start your humility training now. Now go where only the bold have gone before!

just say hey do you want to go do something this weekend... or after school? dont go to a movie... cuz you dont talk to each other in theater... if you really have to watch one... watch a chick flick, cuz she'll like you for that lol. i think you should take her for a walk in the park, feed the ducks, or miniature golf. just enjoy yourselves. just beware when you get older chicks become bitches ;) so you have to choose wisely as you get older ;)
