Do not worry, it will be even more spectacular!!

BABYLON THE GREAT is what the Bible calls the world empire of false religion, likening it to the ancient nation of Babylon. (Revelation 18:2) What happened to that empire of old bodes no good for its modern-day namesake. In a single night in 539 B.C.E., Babylon fell to the Medes and the Persians under Cyrus the Great. After having diverted the waters of the Euphrates River, which flowed through the city, the attacking troops were able to move in undetected over the riverbed.

Jehovah God and his Son, Jesus Christ, a king greater than Cyrus, will achieve a similar victory over unfaithful Babylon the Great. The Bible describes her as being a great harlot sitting on many waters, indicating the support she receives from “peoples and crowds and nations and tongues.” But prior to destruction, this support, like “the great river Euphrates,” must be “dried up, that the way [may] be prepared for the kings from the rising of the sun.”—Revelation 16:12; 17:1, 15.

In the 18th century, English statesman Edmund Burke realized that “nothing is so fatal to religion as indifference.” If alive today, he would find indifferent religionists aplenty.

Sorry to disagree with you, but I don't believe they will die out, they might evolve and change, but I believe they will still be around until humanity ceases to exist.

THere is a fundamental geographical difference in that in the past, religions were local and confined to civilizations i.e. when the egyptian civilization died out, the religion went with it. Same for the romans, aztecs, mayans, greeks etc. However, the religions nowadays are deffinately global. Even if israel got wiped off the map, there would still be jews. If the entire middle east got nuked there would still be muslims.

So short of a global genocide I can't see them ending.

Hinduism is 6000 years old and it is still around. And the Egyptian Religion was replaced by Judaism by the Creator of the Heavens and the Earth.

The ancient egyptian religious practices haven't died out. As a Neo-pagan, I worship and pay homage to many of the ancient egyptian gods and goddesses. They are as real to me as they were to the ancient egyptians. There is no such thing as a "false" religion, as all faiths are paths to the divine. Different things work for different people. Gods bless.

Generally it died out... but is being reconstructed. All religions do it. The Eyptians collected their religious ideas from other cultures, usually ones they conquered or took in when someone else conquered them. And if you look into it, you will see Christianity adopted some of the ideas from Egypt as well. So, Christianity and Islam may die, as we know it today, but it will carry on in some other religion.

Wrong every religion has not died out as you can trace the roots of the Christian faith as far back as history goes.. We worship the same God as Adam and Eve....How old would you think the Jewish religion goes? It can be Documented historically thousands of years....What makes you think all religions die out? The Dead Sea Scrolls are pretty ancient writings....What are you basing this theory on? every religion before Christ has not died out you still see many Jews around today...go study some history and get back to me.

hopefully, they will grow and evolve into paths that are more respectful of others.

BTW, how do we know the Egyptian religion was "the wrong way" or "a false religion?" I've yet to see anything that made it any more or less valid than any other.
