A sport is considered an activity that you compete against other people in, so yes golf is a sport

Golf is a a sport (I recommend going to yahoo sports, you'll see it there). If you're still not convinced I'm guessing you're not smart enough to play golf anyway. I guess I won't get the 10 points here but maybe it'll stop people from asking such stupid questions (it's just my opinion, but that is what you asked for).

It's both a sport and a game. It's easy to play but extremely difficult to play well. And, if you look at the best golfers in the world (i.e. Tiger Woods), you can't tell me they aren't athletes. Once the famous Baseball player Ted Williams (last guy to hit .400 in a season) had a fun discussion with Sam Snead (professional golfer who won most tournaments on PGA) and were comparing sports. Williams said that no way was it easier to hit a fastball being thrown by a pitcher at you over 90mph...Snead countered by saying yea, you might be right but we HAVE to play our foul balls....do you? LOL

I don't know if you play golf, but every golfer knows it can be physically taxing if you play a wayward round of golf! If this is not considered sport, then i don't know what is.

It would be nice if we could can this question forever. It is a sport. If you don't like it, don't play it. I don't play polo or bocce ball or curl but I leave them the hell alone and don't rag people who enjoy them. Get a life.
