I took my 95 Saturn in to have the serpentine belt and tensioner replaced. 5 hours later I picked up the car and the belt was no longer squealing. 4 days later the squealing is starting to return, and when I crawled under the car the tenser clearly isn't new. What are my opctions when I take the car back?

Didn’t feel the need to include this but I live on a farm and have a grease rack for working on some of the tractors about the farm. The tensionor is located behind and below the power steering pump. Maybe you should go check

You don't mention your state but here in NYS you can take the number off the repair shops license that is required to be posted on the front of their facility and lodge a formal complaint! In all other circumstances either attorney general, better business bureau or a private attorney! However, you would need to take it to another shop to get some kind of proof that the parts are not new! Lot's of those shops out there and you should always do your home work before getting involved. Stop payment is always an option too if it isn't too late! Another clear sign of these unscrupulous shops is the "cash only" sign! BEWARE!!! Any reputable shop will take credit card, checks, cash whatever! Because in my shop if you stiff me you are going to jail for sure! I prosecute everyone-no exceptions! That's why we are a very reputable facility with more work than we could possibly handle and turn work down on a daily basis!!!

You could always try the old fasioned technique of going in and saying politely that they have not carried out their work to the expected level and you want them to resolve the problems.
Never hurts to be polite

What were you charged for & what did you pay for?
Take your recept with you for proof repairs request and paid for were not performed or were done so poorly they must be re-done.
