Are their any things I can do. I had reconstructive jaw surgery and they cut my nerve. They said it might regenrate but they hold little hope. My chin is completely numb and I cannot stand it. I am so self consious eating by myself in fear that I get food on my chin. Can you do anything other than wait to see if it will regenrate.

Ask your surgeon soon - like YESTERDAY - to refer you to a neurosurgeon while there is still a chance to reconnect the severed ends of your nerve.

sorry, but I never heard of anything which will cure nerve damage. How about eating in front of a mirror for awhile and see if it is as bad as you think?

DO YOU HAVE FEELING WITH YOUR TONGUE? IF YOU DO,YOU MIGHT PRACTICE EATING IN FRONT OF A MIRROR TO SEE IF YOU ARE EATING WITHOUT DRIBBLING. HAVE YOU SOUGHT THE CONSULT WITH A PLASTIC SURGEON TO SEE IF THE NERVE CAN BE REPAIRED?
