We have moved into our new house three days ago.
We are a family of four with two boys aged 20 months and 6 years.
We are still living in the same area as before, just a larger house.
What's your suggestion of something to help everyone feel at home in our new house?

Try to get the kids rooms a similar as possible to your old house. Also do things you all use to to in the old house and let the boys particapate in decorationg so they can feel like its their house too

1) Give it time.
2) Unpack the things that mean the most to your family FIRST and get them arranged and out in the open where you can see them.
3) Within a month of moving in, hold a party...even if it's just having the extended family over for Thanksgiving, or a pre/post Thanksgiving get-together.
Also, this is a prime time to get rid of anything you don't enjoy owning, that doesn't work, or hasn't been used in the last year. Goodwill and other charities are happy to accept your gently used (or never used!) no-longer-wanted-or-neededs. And it will be a nice extra tax write off come April (be sure and get a reciept!).

This is an issue that is only solved with time. Nothing you can do to immediately "feel" at home. You just have to continue with yalls routine and after time, 'this' will be your home. Don't worry bout it bud, it'll be ok

Put out family pictures or objects that bring warm memories, and enjoy the new space.

have a movie night, play games, do something than can include all family members.
