When I lived in the Philippines, we'd go to the cemetery where my great-grandmother was buried. We'd say prayer and light candles and things like that. There were a lot of other people in the cemetery too and people selling food and children playing games and older people singing songs. It was a festive occasion from what I remember.

Now here in the states, we just light a candle and remember those who died before us.

Our elementary school children dress up as their patron saints and stand in front of church and give a short introduction of who their patron saint is and how they witnessed for Jesus Christ to the world.
Our family attend Mass together in honor of all holy people and saintly people of Christ.
On all souls day we remember family members and friends who are dear to us and pray for them and with them to Jesus Christ.

I don't.
I do, however, recognize Halloween as a kid's day...I'm dressing up as a "wicked witch" (no offense intended), and handing out candy to local Trick or Treaters.....

Have fun!!

I don't celebrate it actually, but we do take our kids "treating from trunks." The church people park in the lot and pass out candy from their trunks. My kids don't know anything other than it is Halloween and they get candy, so in theory, they aren't celebrating anything.
