because we were talking about how i can't go to his house because his roommate doesn't like me, but he was going to be gone this weekend and my ex still didn't want to have me over not even set foot in his house! I was real mad about that so i said "you're not welcome in my house either, get out" he wouldn't give me a reason why he didn't want me there, and now he's real pissed as in i wonder if he'll ever talk to me again.

i'm just wondering if i'm overreacting?

No,you're not.You were just giving him a dose of his own medicine. If you're not welcome in his house, then why should he be welcome in yours? Guys seem to think sometimes that they can treat us like crap & we're just gonna take it.Most of the time,we do,but heads up to the women that don't take bull malarki off dumb men.

Surprising that others here are saying "talk to him". Clearly this is unacceptable behavior. Drop him off at the shelter today and make it clear the police will be called if you see him around the house at all. Otherwise, the next time he gets drunk you may be in the house alone facing a fist or the blade of a knife. Do the smart thing and don't wait for it to get worse. He has already shown you who he is.

Hellz no you're not overreacting! He's hiding SOMEONE there. What you need to do is MOVE ON. He's a liar and a cheater!

You can do much better. Don't worry about if he'll ever talk to you again because you don't need someone like that in your life. He's a waste!

Yes you are. As his friend has a right to who he allows into his house, your x has a responsibility to respect that wish, if he is a responsible person, and not do it behind his back when he is away, not looking. Otherwise, who knows what would your x do when you weren't looking! Unless, of course, you want an irresponsible person in your house. I would make sure, though, that, this is the reason he doesn't want you there.

He's hiding something.

Animals won't sh!t where they eat. Same principle at work here. He's got something going on over there and he doesn't want to take a chance on getting caught.

You didn't overreact. Stay away from this two-timer.

No, you are not overreacting. He should have you over to his house for at least pizza or take-out and some play time. What is he hiding?!?!? Dump him for disrespecting you.

oh yea he has a roommate alright but it his wife/girlfriend that stay there with him. he wouldn't tell you you couldn't come over, because of this reason. if he value you as a person he should welcome you no matter what, you did not over react to me at all, I said that you did what I would have done too................

cute avatar..first of all,
but anyway, no..you weren't over reacting..you were just kinda rude to him. just because he didn't want you in his house you shouldn't do that unless you want to stoop to his level.. you could've told him how you feel and then throw him out in a good manner. like tell him that it is not very appropriate for him to say that and then just tell him to leave because you feel bad of how he doesn't want you in his house, instead of yelling "get out!"
