"First sight" is based purely on the physical...by sight. It's impossible to love someone simply based on their looks...because you know nothing about the person. There are good looking people who are murderers, who are a part of hate groups, who may do the very things you find detestable. But you wouldn't know that by just looking at the person. So no, I don't believe there's a love at first sight. But I do believe that during a first meeting/introduction that you can have an instant connection and know you're meant to be with that person. Back in on Halloween 1998, I had that with a man I met at a Halloween party. Today, we have been married for over 6 years.

It's called Lust at first sight...you can't love someone until you get to know them.

yes, but I think that you don't know if it's really love until later.
You may be lucky enough to be infatuated with someone who later turns out to be your 'soulmate'. But you don't know that right away. :)
It does happen though. The more you know about someone, besides just their looks, the better chance there is of it happening.

No. Love has to develop. You have to get to know the person and who they are and their beliefs and see how compatible you are. What you seem to have is lust, or infatuation. Love develops, it grows. It doesn't just "happen".
