Dye it and don't pull it out. You'll get two for every one if you do that, my husband says.

Hair turns gray or white because your body is no longer depositing melanin in your hair. This process is coded by your genes and once it starts, there's nothing you can do to stop it. You can choose to dye your hair or just live with what you have. If you leave it as it is, people may perceive you as being older than you are. If you dye it, you will have to keep dyeing it. One other suggestion would be to have your hair streaked, which would tend to disguise the white hairs while giving you a younger, cooler look. Remember, Taylor Hicks won American Idol despite prematurely gray hair. I hope you can find a solution that lets you feel good about yourself. Take some comfort that in years to come, almost everyone else you know will eventually face this trauma. You can say "Hell, I got that out of the way in my 20s. What took you so long?"

John's right, you can't stop DNA. But you can color your hair either the same color it already is (just to cover the white hairs) or I would recommend highlighting. Highlighting brings several hues to hair and does a great job masking and even letting some of the white hairs work for you instead of against you!

dude you can't stop them. either color your hair (the original dark color, or all white) or just let it become white naturally. look at the famous white-haired men out there--Steve Martin, Anderson Cooper--it's considered quite attractive. Go with it!
Now as an aside, you might want to look into if you stress too much over your life and are getting "old" early because of it--that's no good, no matter what color your hair is.

I got my first white hairs when I was 8 years old!.You can't stop it, but talk to a GOOD beautician who knows about hair coloring: they can incorporate the white hairs in with your natural color to give your hair a cool, sun-dyed look.
