The belief system that you are describing IS a religion. It is called Wicca or Paganism. Some would even call it witchcraft. Our only law, our only real rule is "An it Harm None, Do As Ye Will". We seek to find "divinity in nature and nature in divinity".
I am interested though that you would feel that religion would make one weak. Religion is a belief system that, if done correctly, is supposed to teach one right from wrong, give one an understanding of how others should be treated. In what way would this weaken a person?
Unless for some odd reason you feel that being basically "good" is equated with being weak, then I don't know what to say to you.
I know for a fact that my religion has made me much stronger than I was before it was part of my life. I am no longer powerless to control the forces around me, I have the ways and the means to not only protect myself but those I love. I have the means to make a difference in my own life, to change the things that need to be changed. I can now banish from my life those things that do not have a purpose and embrace those that strengthen me.
Love is the most powerful emotion on earth and that is what real religion is all about.
Just my opinion of course but then you did ask.
Love and Blessings

My experience has been when I needed strength God was the source.
When I turned my back on God I was at my weakest.
Praise God, In His strength I am a better, stronger person, respecting people of all creeds, living in harmony with nature, His creation.
Amen

Religion are the laws of nature that God puts froth. Man then changes them for his own idea and that is why God has to send another representative or come Himself to reestablish the truth. Krishna says in the Gita "Whenever there is a decline in religious principals and the truth appears to be lost I appear again and again or send my representative to reestablish the truth." So all are perfect at first and you know the rest. go to www.stephen-knapp.com for universal truths

It's funny when a Christian uses nature and living things as proof that GOD exists, every atheist and non believer gets in an uproar. Now you say to live by those things.
funny.
The bible says "no one is good, not one."
So there is no inherent good in anybody.

I used to be a Southern Baptist but I feel much better now. I felt stronger mentally after I became a non-believer. That's just me. Others might feel different.

You're right, we can do that, or better yet, be religious...It's also being respectful and grateful to God, but in an organized and studied way, dont you think?
